Some couples just have an energy about them. They gravitate towards each other even when in a crowd, they laugh together incessantly, and they build each other up, fuel each other to become better and stronger.
I was touched to photograph one of these couples on their wedding day last weekend. He also happens to be my beloved cousin and you may remember their engagement session here. The wedding was, in one word, emotional. It’s hard not to be when you are witness to this kind of celebration, the type that reminds of you of what’s real and important in life.
Without further due:
Love Ana’s shoes!
I didn’t know my little cousin had these moves
A very emotional father -daughter dance…

I was working in Miami last week, and my first session there was very unusual for me, because it was a family of adults.
Jennifer, the oldest daughter contacted me a while back about photographing them. This foursome is very close-knit despite the kids being fully grown. Jennifer is very passionate about her parents and very protective of her little sister, and she reminded me in a way, of myself. I love that I was able to capture this phase of their lives.

“I am not really affectionate in public” was one of the first things Kelby said when I arrived at their brand new house yesterday. Hmmm, right. For the entire duration of their engagement photo shoot yesterday, Kelby could not take his hands off his gorgeous fiancee. Looking through all the shots, I am amazed by how protective he is of his future wife and the bond these two share. They play and goof around like high school sweethearts and if there’s anything that their brand new home won’t be lacking, it is laughter and affection.
Heather and Kelby share a love for cooking and baking. We started their engagement photo shoot in their brand new house.
Gimme some sugar
Heather’s family has this huge property where the wedding wilk take place in September. Heather has an amazing, close-knit family. Her aunt had this swing made and hung on the property in honor of Heather and Kelby the day before the shoot. Isn’t that the most thoughtful gesture ever?
I LOVE this shot!
Heather, you are breathtaking!
And this is Kelby doing his GQ special
These two are my favorites. You guys look incredible!
Thank you guys for letting me into your lives to document your love. your wedding is going to be a dream! Hugs
Wedding season starts tomorrow, and I am going to be busy for a while. So today I went out for the last time to document that breathtaking transformation that is spring; my favorite season (I think I mentioned that before).
My favorite season, my favorite tree. Beauty surrounds me everywhere I look and reminds me to be thankful for this amazing life that I’ve been given, in this colorful, spectacular planet called Earth.
