Color – Atlanta Wedding Photographer

February 28, 2012

The ability to see in color, to me, is one of the greatest gifts we are given. Color can affect our moods, touch us deeply, inspire us. It reminds us of the diversity, abundance, and beauty in this world. Add a little color into your life and listen to your heart sing.

Heather + Kelby – Atlanta Wedding Photographer

September 20, 2011

I have to say my first impression of Heather and Kelby was not accurate. They showed up at our first meeting freshly engaged; in jeans and t-shirts, and not an ounce of make-up on Heather’s face, looking like two high school sweethearts. As the months went by and I got to know them better, I realized they may be young, but there’s a richness to their character that makes them different. They are warm and simple, and have this amazingly strong faith that brings them closer together.

Nestled in an idillic setting of sprawling fields and rolling hills, Heather and Kelby’s special day had all the charm of a country wedding. But the beautiful setting was just one of the details that made this wedding so beautiful, the entire day was infused with significant little details, family traditions that made everything that much more special. Throughout the day, you could feel the love and support that Heather and Kelby are surrounded with from their family.

Heather chose these gorgeous cowgirl boots to compliment her country wedding theme:

All the florals were to die for, thanks to Jennifer of Virtu in Senoia, who captured the rustic, country theme of the event in her flawless arrangements.
Heather and Kelby chose to see each other before the wedding, which I love because it gives the couple plenty of time to enjoy their guests without delay after the ceremony.

After a few minutes, we realized she hadn’t shown Kelby her fabulous cowgirl boots. Judging by his reaction, I say he approves :)

Heather’s adorable nephew was the ring bearer.

This stunning cake was also five different flavors. Genious!

The ceremony:

After their exit, we headed to a hilltop where Heather’s aunt had prepared a special spot to celebrate their commitment in privacy. This was Heather’s grandmother’s quilt, and it was a specially touching moment for her.

And we had an unexpected guest make an appearance toward the end :)

Wedding Albums – Atlanta Wedding Photography

July 1, 2011

I feel like it’s Christmas morning every time I get a shipment of wedding albums. Maybe it’s the fact that I am an avid reader and books appeal to me. Seeing the story of a wedding told through a beautifully bound leather book makes the memories tangible and ever-lasting. I love the feeling of picking up a fat, heavy, luxurious volume and sitting down with a cup of tea to look through old memories.

I believe a great wedding album should be timeless, so I keep mine clean and simple. I want my brides to be just as proud of their investment twenty years from now as they were when they received it. This one was a gorgeous Italian gray leather with a modern square layout and lettering.

The inside design is as streamlined as the exterior. I avoid busy collages that take away from the main focus: beautiful images that tell the story of the day.

A companion album is a smaller, more portable version of the wedding book. It can easily be taken with you to work or get-togethers to share with wedding memories with your friends and family. They also make excellent thank-you gifts to parents. They are classic and chic covered in buttery leather and engraved with the bride and groom’s names or a special quote.

Ana & Roldan – Atlanta – Miami Wedding Photographer

February 28, 2011

He was the youngest of us four by a few years. My sister, his brother, and I used to play cards, dominoes, and chinese checkers, and since he was too young to play, he would sabotage our games by throwing toys and suddenly jumping into it, knocking off the pieces. We called him “the group-breaker”.

Over twenty years later, my little cousin has grown into this unbelievably caring, strong man, and he’s found a woman with an equally beautiful soul to share his life with.

They were buddies since middle school and lost touch somehow after graduation. He had always liked her but it seemed like their relationship was destined to be only a friendship. When they met again after several years through mutual friends and found out they were both single, the old attraction was rekindled almost immediately and they have been inseparable ever since.

This December he took her to Disney World with a ring, a one-of-a-kind fortune cookie, and a plan. “I was so nervous, I had to make sure I kept her on the opposite side of where the ring and the cookie were in my jacket, or she would have known” Roldan said to me during their session. Ana loves to read her fortune and after dinner at their favorite restaurant, she broke her cookie to find that the message inside was “Will you marry me?”. She was laughing histerically, thinking “what are the odds?” until she saw Roldan getting down on one knee and the laughter turned into tears of happiness.

Here are my favorites from their engagement session in Miami this weekend. I was swooning over the location and how gorgeous these two are! Can you say GQ material?

Ana, you are seriously, ridiculously gorgeous!

And Roldan is not far behind :)

The weather was gorgeous in Miami this weekend, after shooting for a little while we needed something to cool off and what’s better than a healthy frozen yogurt treat?

As the sun was setting we made a quick run to the Coconut Grove Marina for some last shots.

I had an amazing photo session with these two lovebirds yesterday! Not only are they are drop-dead-gorgeous couple but also so sweet and FUN! I couldn’t help but include some of our funny outtakes amongst the pretty shots. It was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just a few because they were honestly all fabulous so forgive me for the length of this post :)

The setting is Hotel Palomar, one of my favorites in midtown Atlanta. Their modern yet inviting decor is breathtaking and the staff is top notch. This would be my choice of wedding venue if I were getting married in the city today; an intimate yet sophisticated retreat. The Hotel Palomar can accomodate up to 500 guests for cocktails and 370 for dinner. Catering is provided by their own Pacci Ristorante, which produces mouth-watering american and italian cuisine elegantly presented. For more information about having your wedding at this to-die-for venue please click on this link.

The exquisite gown is a Jasmine Haute Couture creation courtesy of Etain Bridal Boutique located in Ashley Park in Newnan. Etain offers a large and varied collection of designer bridal gowns in the South Atlanta area, but most important of all, they are NICE :) and down to earth. The ladies at Etain are committed to providing a personalized experience in finding and purchasing the most important gown you’ll ever wear. They also offer upscale mother of the bride, bridal party, and prom gowns.

Now on to my faves from yesterday:

Don’t quite remember what started this…

Soooo romantic…

This one makes me smile~

Bridal Photo Shoots Part II – Atlanta, GA Wedding Photographer

December 11, 2010

My friend Stephanie was very kind to be my model yesterday. “Kind” may not be a good-enough word actually; I did drag her around town in a huge wedding dress in the middle of Friday afternoon traffic and made her the object of several whistles and a lot of curiosity. Eeeek! :)

Steph, they say that everyone who enters our lives does so for a reason, and I must have entered yours to give you thick skin. Not only are you a great friend but you are also gorgeous! Enjoy looking at the images :)

The stunning wedding gown was again, from Etain Bridal Boutique in Ashley Park, Newnan.

July 24, 2010

I had the pleasure of documenting the engagement of this beautiful couple this evening. We had lots of fun together. They have the kind of sarcastic sense of humor that I am oh so familiar with, so we hit it off right away and I feel like we’ve been friends forever.

Congratulations on your engagement! Enjoy your sneak peak!

And last but not least… the Zoolander shot… I told you I would get it out of you :) Great job guys!
