I love having daughters; playing dress-up and princess and having tea parties. I am blessed beyond belief with my two girls, but when I was younger, I always pictured myself as the mother of boys. So it’s no surprise that despite being very girly girls, my little princesses play wizards and knights, dream about their first car being a 1969Â Mustang GT500 in grabber blue, and can throw a football better than I ever could, all with a fuschia boa wrapped around their neck.
Yet, when I get to photograph boys, a whole new world opens up to me. I love their mischief and spunk. Their constant wrestling and fearlessness in grabbing a frog or lizzard. Boys have an appeal and beauty of their own.
These two were a little shy and as sweet as can be. Here are my favorite shots of our session.
When I first got there, this little one wanted nothing to do with me.
But we soon became friends..
This boy has the creamiest skin I have ever seen, and look at those freckles!
I love being witness to this kind of bond between siblings. These two truly love each other.
This is their spirited dog Dasher, I think she wants to be a photographer when she grows up, she kept going for the camera
Thank you for letting me document your lives. Enjoy your sneak peek!
