I adore this couple. They are one of the sweetest, kindest, most down to Earth people I have worked with. Kristy is a southern girl with a modern twist: polite, outgoing, and always with a positive attitude, but she is also extremely humble and compassionate. Chris is just laid back, go-with-the flow, and a complete gentleman. He’s told me on a few occasions how excited he is to marry his girl and I just love him for that.

I was shocked to see how nervous they were at their photo session. They are not crazy about being photographed and were happy that they were getting to practice before their wedding. The way these turned out I say you guys passed the test ;)

Did I mention I adore these two?

Chris and Kristy are both braniacs. She is is doing her doctorate in pharmaceutical science and he is a high school math teacher. So we started our session with a little scholastic fun!

and Chris is a baseball junkie and coaches little league, so we headed to the ball field for some more shots…

Chris, after seeing the following shot you shall no longer be nervous in front of the camera ;)

Kristy, you are simply breathtaking…

Lalala…love

Some couples just have an energy about them. They gravitate towards each other even when in a crowd, they laugh together incessantly, and they build each other up, fuel each other to become better and stronger.

I was touched to photograph one of these couples on their wedding day last weekend. He also happens to be my beloved cousin and you may remember their engagement session here. The wedding was, in one word,¬†emotional. It’s hard not to be when you are witness to this kind of celebration, the type that reminds of you of what’s real and important in life.

Without further due:

Love Ana’s shoes!

Ana and Roldan opted to see each other before the ceremony which I love. It gave them a chance to connect and have a private moment before their guests arrived.

The wedding party…

FUN!

I didn’t know my little cousin had these moves :)

A very emotional father -daughter dance…

I spent some time this afternoon photographing this blue-eyed beauty. She is an aspiring actress and model with some impressive roles under her belt already. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from our session:

I love kids. I remember being in such a rush to grow up and now I long for the freedom of being a child. We think we’ll be free when we reach adulthood¬†but little do we know that childhood is true freedom.¬†I wish I could get that message across to my kids: enjoy that feeling of complete adventure and spontaineity that you have right now, absorb every minute of your innocence, but I sound like an adult when I say those things.

It took about a millisecond to convince these kids to lay on the grass and roll down the slope of their backyard;¬†their parents are probably going to remember me for a long time thanks to my little idea. :) ¬†If I could postpone twilight and hadn’t had 20 lbs. of photographic equipment on me, I would have rolled down the hill with them (again, adult thinking). In retrospect, I wish I would have and then their parents would remember me for a long time as a complete lunatic.

These kids have the most amazing personalities; we hit it off right away and although I didn’t roll down the hill with them we did hold hands and skipped down the road together. Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon.

I just can’t stay indoors with this mild, gorgeous weather and the splashes of jewel tone colors¬†everywhere. Fall is my favorite season and I am taking full advantage of it this year. My favorite shots of the day… :)

Whenever I have a little bit of down time in my schedule inevitably the camera turns to my own children. Especially at the age of two just a couple of months make a huge difference in the way they look and express themselves. So this weekend me and my favorite toddler enjoyed the change in weather in our own backyard, and while she discovered leaves, acorns, and pointed out squirrels, I snapped and soaked it all in.

As a photographer, I am always behind the camera and seldom in front of the lens. So, determined to get some family photos this past weekend, I took the DIY route and captured some fun and cute moments of my troup. Here are my favorites:

Noah’s first birthday is this month and we celebrated this important milestone with a photo session to capture what being one is all about. He is walking and exploring everything around him with curiosity and glee, from the local playground to the crunchy fallen leaves in his front yard, Noah and I had a blast playing. Here are a few of my favorites:

Meet Justin. He is a pretty laid back senior who knows what he wants. We spent some time yesterday at beautiful Callaway Gardens for his senior pictures. Here are a few of my favorites:

Looking ultra-cool in his car.

His family and I are both from South Florida so we are Miami Dolphins fans.

Justin is a welder and wants to pursue a career in this field after graduation. I came over to the shop to see him work and capture some of shots of this part of his life.

And no, this is not his sister, it’s his beautiful mom :)

I am participating in an amazing workshop with a great group of women. With photography you can never just sit back in complacency, there is for sure a need to continue in your education and fueling your creativity. My dear daughter is my most cooperative subject when it comes to trying out new equipment, new knowledge, and everything in between, sometimes with a little bribery or reverse psychology :)

This past weekend my first assignment was due and I wanted to share a couple of photos since I am particularly fond of them. Of course I think the subject matter is irresistible.

Have a nice week! Much love…
