I love kids. I remember being in such a rush to grow up and now I long for the freedom of being a child. We think we’ll be free when we reach adulthood but little do we know that childhood is true freedom. I wish I could get that message across to my kids: enjoy that feeling of complete adventure and spontaineity that you have right now, absorb every minute of your innocence, but I sound like an adult when I say those things.

It took about a millisecond to convince these kids to lay on the grass and roll down the slope of their backyard; their parents are probably going to remember me for a long time thanks to my little idea. :)  If I could postpone twilight and hadn’t had 20 lbs. of photographic equipment on me, I would have rolled down the hill with them (again, adult thinking). In retrospect, I wish I would have and then their parents would remember me for a long time as a complete lunatic.

These kids have the most amazing personalities; we hit it off right away and although I didn’t roll down the hill with them we did hold hands and skipped down the road together. Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon.

Whenever I have a little bit of down time in my schedule inevitably the camera turns to my own children. Especially at the age of two just a couple of months make a huge difference in the way they look and express themselves. So this weekend me and my favorite toddler enjoyed the change in weather in our own backyard, and while she discovered leaves, acorns, and pointed out squirrels, I snapped and soaked it all in.

As a photographer, I am always behind the camera and seldom in front of the lens. So, determined to get some family photos this past weekend, I took the DIY route and captured some fun and cute moments of my troup. Here are my favorites:

Meet Justin. He is a pretty laid back senior who knows what he wants. We spent some time yesterday at beautiful Callaway Gardens for his senior pictures. Here are a few of my favorites:

Looking ultra-cool in his car.

His family and I are both from South Florida so we are Miami Dolphins fans.

Justin is a welder and wants to pursue a career in this field after graduation. I came over to the shop to see him work and capture some of shots of this part of his life.

And no, this is not his sister, it’s his beautiful mom :)

I was driving my daughter to the school bus stop this morning, half asleep, when the Eastern view woke me up fully. If you live in my neighborhood and saw me in my pj’s standing in my front porch with a huge camera at 6:55am you may have thought I was crazy, but I just couldn’t pass this up.

I want to be two again. There are new things to discover and master every.single.day. You are fed on demand, read to, played with on a daily basis by a team of people who hug you constantly, laugh at your every silly stunt, and just find you irresistible. You have no care in the world. Here is my youngest being herself. I may just hop onto bed and jump with her next time.

You may recognize this one-year-old blond beauty from her session a few weeks ago. Today I met with her mom, grandma, and great-grandma to document the love between four generations of women. We got lots of pretty shots and silly ones too. Enjoy your sneak peek!

One of the most scrumptious products we offer is the gallery wrapped canvas. Recently I have had a few client inquiries about what exactly one of these babies look like, so I took some photos and here is my short and sweet explanation.

When you order a gallery wrapped canvas, your image is printed on an artist’s canvas, treated, and coated to protect your artwork from UV rays that may fade the image over time. The canvas is then stretched and secured around a wooden frame completely so there is no visible hardware and your masterpiece can be hung without a frame if you wish.

Gallery wrapped canvases are very popular because of their contemporary, art-gallery feel. They are truly gorgeous, timeless, and last forever. It is textured similarly to a painting and looks equally amazing as a stand-alone work of art, as it does in a floating frame. They are simply stunning in a wall collection or as the focal point of a room!

For questions or to get your very own little piece of art featuring your family or celebrating your engagement, feel free to contact me at (770) 906-3481  or visit our wedding and engagement portfolio.

I spent my afternoon today with these two adorable kiddos. They have the bluest eyes I have ever seen just like their beautiful mama :) This little girl may very well be Justin Beaver’s youngest fan, at the tender age of 1 she already knows his top hit “Baby, baby” and can’t stop jamming to it.

Thank you for choosing me to be your photographer! Enjoy your sneak peek!
